I began to rip into the rocco today just to get some crap out of it and after taking out the rear section of carpet there is no way this is anyone elses car, the amount of sound deadening in here is unreal

someone has to know some history on it

Wow, that it just a crazy amount of sound deadening. Whoever added that must have either had a hell of a sound system in the car, or just loved a very silent drive.

I bet all that weighs a lot too... and that stuff isnt cheap either, typically.
I have no idea about figuring out the previous owners of the car.

yeah its covered, its definitely the quietest MK1 anything I've ever been in. there are some traces of old stereo wiring etc so could have had a good system at one point, nothing of that left except holes in the door cards

and its heat/melted/glued on so its not going anywhere, which i am ok with as the floors are silly clean so I doubt its hiding any rust or anything major

and if vortex doesnt know who will!

Never heard of Doug Lloyd, but that doesn't mean anything. Nice looking Scirocco though.

The car was in Tennessee? and went to Florida. I think it had a turbo (1.9 or 2,0?) with some head work.
