well, this is prolly a repost, but i've been seeing this over and over, i was wondering.... false advertising?
this would probably ruin the car, no?

Ive never done it with the pressure washer.
low pressure, like a garden hose is the right way to do it. Otherwise the gauge cluster could fog up.

Love. It's what makes a Subaru a Subaru.
Yeah, great, show your kids some love after they pulled **** like that. Enjoy the mold and electronic failure.

This commercial makes me cringe every time I see it. I don't understand what the commercial is trying to say... Subaru's ads have been terrible lately.![]()

I was in the other room during a commercial break last night, and Mrs McBanagon said from the other room, "OMG, you would kill these kids....." She replayed the commercial for me when I came back, and thought, "No, they can't be adopted if I kill them.."
I did something like this as s kid to a mid '70s Suburban we had. I thought the key-activated electric window in the tailgate was the neatest thing ever, so I wanted to show it off to the kid next door. Not knowing how locks work, I stuck a flat stick in there to try to get the window to go down.
On Saturday, Dad had the tailgate apart and was picking splinters out of the lock cylinder. I wanted to go help as I always did with auto repairs, but Mom stopped me. "Sweetheart, let's just leave Dad alone for this one."

When he was younger, I certainly see him trying something out like that to help dad wash the car. Its stuff like that when you are 65 years old and your kid drops off your grandkids off, you can laugh and say you remember when you washed the inside of dads new car.
Im not an AD guy but I get the point of all the subie commericals. They are basically saying you will own the car so long that you will have a ton of memories when you pass the car on. Same with the guy that saw the ex girlfriend at the highschool reunion. He had the car with her so long it brought back all the memories of the girl and the car.

I think the Subaru ads of late have sucked as well, with the exception of the latest with the chocolate lab. What the hell was up with the ad for the hot air balloon? Man that one blew...
This ad with the "car wash" is a pretty accurate representation of the current style of parenting unfortunately. Kids running amok unsupervised and when they do get caught doing something they shouldn't, it gets laughed off.
My sister and I colored the back seat of our parents old 60's Chevy Malibu back in the day. We were old enough to know better but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I can promise you that dad didn't come out and say "Missed a spot" and grab a crayon. We didn't sit down comfortably for days after that. And I have to say, looking back that was the LAST time either of us did any damage to anyone's car.![]()

It proves that parents are letting their kids get away with whatever they want.
Easy like Sunday Morning.
