Thread: It's been less than a day... and I think I screwed something up....and the itch to mod begins...

    It's been less than a day... and I think I screwed something up....and the itch to mod begins...

    with the front brakes of the Tektro CR-520, trying to adjust the straddle cable carrier (triangle), trying to tighten up the levers, which Cannondale did a poor job in the first place....which I jacked up the cable.... (frayed)

    and this plastic tube covering the RD cable


    And I don't like the feel of the Cannondale suede tape..

    So, already I'm thinking

    Jagwire Racer kits for brake & derailleur....
    for the most part black.... except for the cable housing for the rear derailleur.... since I have leftover Ripcord Derailleur housing, in red, maybe throw in a little more red back there.

    I hope my LBS can order more the sealing liner that comes with the Ripcord kit.... I wouldn't mind using it to seal up the derailleur cables and I have some leftover sealing liner that should be perfect for the rear brake cable, that goes over the top tube.

    And top it off with Spec Roubaix tape. (since I like the feel of it on my road bike).

    And... the Schwalbe Sammy Slicks aren't gonna cut it in the mud....

    Already got today... Spec Captain CX pro tires

    Yes, Crank Brothers Candy 1 on it already (and my mountain bike now gets Candy 2)

    The new bike looks great! Two local guys are running the cx Captains and they absolutely love them. I think I may order a set of those as well once the 2Bliss version becomes available again.

    I have Captains 2Bliss on my MTB (front tire)....

    when I eventually get a tubeless wheelset built up.... CX Captains 2Bliss are going on it...
