Just out of curiosity who here in Ontario has been using their Euro Plate for some time without being pulled over and ticketed/warned? I bought one plate to put on the front of my Jetta but have heard various opinions on this topic... anyone care to share?

I've even heard that the lightly blue tinted plastic covers from Canadian Tire can get you a ticket as well

Europlate= Illegal. If you want to be pulled over and possibly ticketed, go for it. $110, no points.

Plate covers are technically illegal as well, including clear. Highly unlikely to get pulled over and stopped for that unless you were doing something else you shouldn't be.

This. Why give the police a reason to pull you over.

Put one on the back of your car and I guarantee you will be pulled over. I have one on the front of my car and have been pulled over twice recently (both times the cop didn't notice my front plate) and both times they looked at the front of my car, apologized once they saw my front plate and were on their way. Never said anything about the German plate.
    Doing it right is overrated.

ive had same thing, but cop pulled over because saw euro plate, didnt see ontario plate. appologized and said to remove europlate as its a distraction from main plate.

I've had my europlate on my front bumper since the middle of August of this year and never even got a look from the cops.
PM me if you want me to program your windows to go up/down with your remote. ('01-'05.5 MKIV's & Passat's)

I've been pulled over for having a plate cover. Obvious profiling.
After I asked him why I was being pulled over, buddy waited until after he ran my plates to tell me why.
I got out of the car, wiped the dirt off it and made it pretty clear that he pissed me off.

My europlate is inside of my back window and I've never been given any trouble for it.
