saw one in person the other day. damn beautiful car. nice seats; even with cloth it felt upscale. i had my kid with me or else I would have driven it and the focus ST. hopefully I'll have a chance to go back this weekend. glad to hear it drives nice. I really want to check out the manual as well, and the 2.0T.

I have a mk5 jetta and I was really impressed by the rear seat in the fusion I think it felt bigger than the jetta and numbers confirm this:

      mk5 jetta:
      Rear head room: 37.2 in.
      Rear leg room: 35.4 in.
      Rear shoulder room: 53.1 in.

      2013 fusion:
      Rear hip Room: 54.4 in.
      Rear head room: 37.8 in.
      Rear leg room: 38.3 in.
      Rear shoulder room: 56.9 in.

also, trunk size is exactly the same as mkv jetta: 16 cu. ft.

OP: did you notice the numbers to unlock it that appear on the driver's door?

If your car feels like it's on rails, then you're going too slow.

I want to like this car too, but any shot of the car outside of dead on looks odd and overstyled. If I were shopping this segment I think I would be leaning towards the manual, four pot Accord Sport. I think I like the styling best on the Mazda 6 though.

The platform was developed in Germany. The exterior designer is from Oklahoma and did the work on this car in Detroit.

      This.

I think it's a really good looking car.
Look at your signature, now back to mine, now back to yours, now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine, but if you stopped using your old signature and changed it to this one, it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on a car forum, reading this signature.

I always wish there was a little more flare to the wheel arches, but yes, a wonderful looking entry level family sedan. Compare this to 15 years ago. It's amazing how far the domestic automakers have come.

Actually, 15 years ago was this, and it was no slouch.

Mechanically, yes. As far as fit and finish, and particularly in the design category, we've come a long way.

I see it still has that weird hood fitment that I was hoping was pre-production. If you can't manufacture the curve, don't design it.

      I sure hope so.

Made a nice purchase of F stock back when it was selling in low 9s

Morgan Stanley recently said they expect F stock to be trading around $17 in a few years so I'm hoping my small chunk of investment could return some solid yields.

In Mullaly we trust!! (As long as he doesn't retire too soon ... although his replacement is supposed to be picked out already)

Maybe not in Cannuckistan, but since they don't buy enough cars to matter, who cares.

I could just as easily stick your A3's grill on her face and try to make a bad joke.
The A3's grill might actually work... better.

      You are trying to hard.

Kind of sucks you have to special order the MT, I imagine not a single dealer will have one on the lot to piss around with

It should be interesting to see how it and the Mazada 6 compare in the real world.. both are pretty unique.

I recently had a Fusion as a rental car and I was really impressed with it.
I'd consider buying one if I didn't already have 7 vehicles and I don't want any car payments!
I really wish everyone would update their location in their profile!

      Someone buy my car already!!
