    Been gone for awhile, but I'm back with a new ride.

    So, after my '05 1.8T GTI burned down (see my last thread from 2008) I got an A3 to make myself feel better. Sold that thing in 2010 before moving to Chicago... and now here we are. I had to get a car for my job so of course I came back to VW. Now I've found a '04 GTI VR6 to get groceries .

    It's bone stock so pictures aren't worthwhile.

    so does anyone know of some good VW/import mechanics in chicago or illinois suburbs who I can trust?
