Dynaudio issue

The bass was being intermittent on my 2006 b6 passat 3.6 4motion. It would drop out and then come back sometimes when I played with the volume or bass settings. Now its gone all together. I know there is a tsb about this. I am under certified vw warranty. I take it to the dealer to have this addressed as well as 5 other things and some tsbs. I had a list and each tsb printed up for these idiots. Yes idiots at this point. So I get the call oh we are ordering speakers I tell the guy how could it be speakers when it sounded amazing! But just the bass is gone. He says oh I will tell the tech. Comes back and say yep its the speakers. I go to get the car not only is the alignment off which shows no pride in their work. But the speakers sound exactly the same. Plenty of mid bass but no subs. Idiots. All my tsbs set aside and not one touched or even looked at. Also i had installed a set of bixenons from ecs super expensive bulbs. But worth every penny. While installing them I noticed the pass light had an extra clip to hold the wire into the bulb while the drivers didnt. Sure enough 3 weeks later I began to get afs not working then the drivers side went out completely. I find the tsb about the retaining clip and I know for a fact the bulb is fine but it needs the clip like the passenger side. Well I spell this out to these idiots and guess what they put a stock bulb in and tell me it was my brand new hella bulb and again pay NO ATTENTION to the tsb I had printed. Then I demand they put my bulb back even if it didnt work because I would warranty it out through ecs. Service advisor says yeah no problem. I pick up my car, the hella bulb is NOT installed I have two different color lights and its missing no where to be found. This is Darcy VW joliet. I thought they were good. At this rate everyone steer clear of them! Is there any VW dealers with good shops that take pride in their work and listen to their customers any where in Chicago? Where has pride in service gone?

dang, sry that u had a terrible experience with them. its ok to blow off some steams here and there. hope you find a decent dealer to fix your problems.

I would think the amp/crossover under the seat is acting up.

Thanks! I won't be going there again. The messed up the mirror memory function when replacing the passenger side turn signal. Stay away from Darcy VW... They also told my wife that rattles in her 2012 GLI are normal.... what a joke they are. Mike the service adviser told me many lies.....

Vent vent vent...

They radio is fixed now and I know for a fact it was something with the wiring from the amp because it mysteriously fixed itself by the time I came for the car the second time.

I thought the same, they replaced all the speakers? Even though all the speakers sounded great before it cut off. Tech wrote "replaced speakers because amp inside speaker was bad" LOL there is no amp in the speaker! Its under the seat! Jesh! Worry some when I know more than the "VW Tech"

I have seen this happen once when I worked at VW. lol
