I think you're getting a BIT carried away.
*Not actually the DMV. Our equivalent is the SAAQ (Societe Assurance Automobile du Quebec), which basically serves the same purpose.
Here is the actual complaint.
Written in English to hopefully make it more troublesome for the bureaucrat who will be treating it. I'm not exaggerating in my description of the facts; the dude straight gunned it, and by the time he even engaged in the intersection the light was very red.Hello,
Yesterday evening at around 8:51 PM, at the intersection of de La Terasse and du Seminaire on the Universite Laval campus in Quebec city I witnessed one of your service vehicles violently accelerating on passing an intersection with the clear intention of running a yellow light, which resulted in burning a red light. The intention was made obvious by a noticeable increase in engine noise.
Such a maneuver, as I am sure you will agree, is both highly dangerous and illegal. The combination of rainy weather, poor visibility, poor traction because of wet pavement and very high pedestrian presence only make matters worst.
The vehicle was a late model Ford Crown Victoria, vehicle number 09-63 and plate number FEL2963. The occupants are the time were what seemed to be two males in their mid-20's. A picture of the vehicle proving this information is available upon request.
Serious disciplinary action should be taken, temporary suspension from duties without salary or temporary revocation of the right to drive SAAQ vehicles appear to me as reasonable. I would also like to know the names of the occupants of the vehicle as I intend to make them public.
The sanctions have to be exemplary; with the mandate of your organization, I don't think you want any of your agents or employees to be showing off such a behavior.
I'm not expecting anything considering that a) this is the land of no-fault and b) these guys probably union-backed, but did YOU ever get anything other than a cookie-cutter excuse letter out of something like this?
I will post updates as they come.
Sorry, but Quebec doesn't care much for the English community or people. Would have been better to write it in french.
I would have called the cops and said it was a stolen vehicle, and you saw them doing some evasive maneuvers. Or just not complained.
If I lived near OP I would follow him around scooting under yellows
Seriously, I busted out laughing reading your "complaint"
