So... if any of you recall, I've spent the last 2 months doing a demo/reno on my house, just moved in and getting ready for a kid who may arrive in the next 4 weeks +/- (*EDIT* months wtf was I thinking...jeebus the due date is like NOW)

Had what I thought was a cold weather TPMS warning, week later and the same warning pops up. This time I had enough time to check each wheel with my gauge and the rear pass wheel was 23lbs. For a temp fix, filled to the OEM 33pst, popped in some fix-a-flat and on my merry way back to work.

Soooo now comes the next question. WTF. Why me. Had this car one year and the dealership out on new tires when we bought it. Sheeeeesh.

So I can either get a new set of tires, or try to find the 18" wheels I've been wanting to do for awhile now and get some tires. Of course if I ask The Financial Lounge I'll probably be sent to a place to get one used tire for $20... but I wanted to see what kind of options are out as of NOW to get a decent set of 18" wheels for the B6.

My wish list was a set of Enkei RPF1's in 18x8.5 but those don't exist in 5x112, it would be 18x8 or 18x9. ...and those would have been bought sometime next year or so.

If I don't go with lightweight wheels, I was eyeing the Hartmann HRS4-DTM-GS 18x8.5 for a not terribly expensive option.

Tire Rack currently has some closeouts going on, Moda MD9 ($109 ea), Sparco RTT524 ($129 ea), but I just wanted to see what else is out there and what I should be on the OMFG NO avoid list...

Keep in mind the car is on the Driver Gear springs and Koni FSDs, so trying to make sure there is no rub....

Many people will chime in after I say this..but...dont be afraid to look at quality reps. Ive owned a set with no problems. Many quality rep dealers will even warranty wheels. Check Ebay.

Dude I have no issues with Reps. Heck if they were the quality of say American Racing wheels, I'm sure the VW/Audi/etc scene would know and avoid it like the plague.

I'm searching various sites, eBay, whatever...

...I'm basically to strung-out tired to do this searching correctly... What Offsets should I be looking for??

    +45?
    +35?
    +25
    +38...

Too much info to cram into this shopping. ...and prepping to install a new sink/vanity, gutting a shed, and general nutty-ness.

I'm rolling on RS4 reps 17" at 35 offset. You can get RS4 reps new cheap, used cheaper.

Bringing this back up for a moment... tire seems to be holding air again but I know I need to replace them by the springtime... pretty set on trying to find a set of OEM S4 Avus wheels BUT I wanted to see about offset and spacers you folks are running...

So my stock Monte Carlo set are 17x7.5 with a +47mm offset. The S4 Avus are 18x8 with +45 offset. So they will only move out to the fender a smidge. Stock tire size for the S4 with 18's looks like 235/40-18 (looks like the same for a B6 running Samakand as well).

So overall that would be a *bit* more flush than my current setup but nothing like some of the +35 offset wheels out there. So if you are running OEM wheels do you think spacers are of any functional benefit or is it just looks to get closer to a flush setup?

Stick with OEM is my advice, you'll thank me later. I have some nice VW CC Daytona 18" wheels for sale that would look perfect on your Passat, just wish I still had a Passat and I wouldn't sell these...I have new Pirellis on them also, just fyi
