My alarm wont stop going off!

My alarm keeps going off for no reason!!!!!

ok, i'll lock my car, and it doesn't beep. Then a little while later the factory alarm just starts going off. So then i unlock then i'll lock the car again, No beep AGAIN. So then a little while later then the alarm just starts going off again.Then sometimes when i lock the car, the horn will beep. When the horn beeps, i never have problems with the alarm going on for no reason at all.So all in all. When i lock the car and i get the horn beep, the car is fine.But when i lock the car and the car doesn't beep, the alarm just suddenly starts going off whether its 2 min. later or 4 hours later. It started going of yesterday morning at like 4 A.M. for no reason at all.

When driving, it says one of my doors are open. It goes on and off every couple of seconds

Hey, I had the same problem with my 97 mk3 vr6. When the car is locked, the alarm is set (as one would assume), but within the door handle mechanism there was a piece of plastic that broke off, and my alarm would go off randomly. I would take off your driver's door handle and make sure that nothing is broken on the inside.

Just an idea, it worked for me.
