Could be the fuel filter being clogged up. How new is the Fuel Filter?

Alright bear with me on this...
So starting maybe two weeks ago my car randomly stalled while I was at a red light. I had to push it to a gas station where it started about 15min later. Immediately after it stalled, I would turn the key, you could hear it turning, but it didnt start.
The only thing that helped was waiting... Eventually it started up and ran fine.
The next day I took it down to the shop (long story short) he said my ignition coil was bad. Replaced it with a new coil. Car ran fine for a day. Next day it stalled again. So then I replaced the spark plugs and plug wires (all brand new parts), & it still stalls!!
I have a feeling this has something to do with the fuel... Maybe something that is stopping the flow?(also I replaced the fuel filter btw).
I dont know what to do.

Check for vacuum leaks up front, and also check your spark plug gaps.

does it only stall after getting up to operating temperature?

crank sensor.....won't let the car restart until it's cold again.
not very expensive, just a btch to get to. Swap in a new one.

Cars with a bad crank sensor WILL start. Most times when they go bad the car starts and when it gets to operating temp it dies. Once it cools down it will again start. Thats what is wrong with ur car. I'm about 99.9% sure

Well I just started the car and got it up to running temp... Stalled. The car did the same thing and wouldn't turn over. I waited 15min and it started fine, it was running about 20deg cooler when it started. And once it got to running temp it died again...
This is what it seems to be.. I read a couple threads where said it wouldnt start with a bad crank sensor, my bad. Thanks for the help.

Just got the jetta back from the shop and after they fixed my ecu (unrelated problem), they scanned it and found it was the crank sensor. So I got that fixed and im back on the road![]()

may be a long shot but on 4 separate Mk3s (3 ABA & 1 VR6) I got stalling issues and each and every single time it was the vacuum hose elbow that plugs in below the master cylinder. The plastic become brittle and breaks. A little duct tape will work as a temporary solution. If that is not it then a VAGCOM scan will be a lot more helpful for ya.
