Is there anyone in the area that does it? Looking to possibly have a set of wheels done.

I got in touch with them off their facebook page. Shipping the wheels back and forth is somewhat of a concern for me.

Jason @ 4evercustoms is the best choice. Not cheap but out standing work. If your looking for a cheaper route I have a guy who can do a translucent copper powder coat. I've done both options and had good results on both.just depends on your piggy bank.

Translucent powdercoat looks to orange to me. I'm debating whether or not the copper plating is worth it. Love the look, hate the cost.

Anyone have connections at some local powdercoat places?

yeah any chrome plating place should be able to copper dip.. it is actually step one of a full chrome.

    1) copper
    2) nickle
    3) chrome

you are just skipping the last 2 steps..

The powder did come out too orange, since it wasn't polished or chrome before the process. I had them redone and look much better. Sadly no pics of the finished boost tubes. Lee at pristine powder coating did it for me. I'll look for better pics.

That first transparent copper you posted is exactly what I'm going for. A real dark almost metallic brown color. Will copper plating at a chrome place be loads more cost wise?

that first pic is a 2 stage powder coat system.

As far as copper at a chrome place.. i couldn't tell you.. but if its step one of a 3 part process... i would imagine it would be cheaper.
