We just did one last week. Total price was about $6000 dollars. We stole it out of the dealer because we were cheaper.
I usually recommend that do-it-yourselfers do NOT attempt internal repairs on automatic transmissions.

Hey all,
I'd like to know if anyone has pulled down and rebuilt one of these transmissions?
Is like to do to do it to mine as I've got the engine being rebuilt and would like to take the chance, the unit has not problems at the moment so I'm considering buying a complete overhaul kit which includes orings, clutch packs, steel plates etc.
I obviously don't want to have to measure things up etc and I assume if the transmission is fine I won't need do, is this right?
I know it's an involved process and will take my time, I've studied the manuals and it lists some special tools I'd also appreciate knowing if they are required?
Thanks in advance

Auto trans fluid change or flush will not make a trans fail. Stop spreading the wives tale/urban myth.
