Thread: Just got my first VW! '07 GLI

    Hey everyone.

So I've been lurking around these forums for a few years now, but the time has finally come that I became a VW owner. I purchased an 07 Jetta GLI 6 spd for what I think is a great price. The car was purchased locally from the original owner with only 41k miles on it, with the previous owner doing all the maintenance check (even the 40k) as stated in the manual. I received all the paperwork, manuals, extra keys, etc. with the deal so needless to say, I am very excited! I only snapped a few pics in my garage since it started raining and it was dark by the time I got home. Whenever I give her a nice wash, I'll make sure to updated with more pics.

So far I am loving this car. The drive is very smooth and it seems to have the perfect balance of comfort and stiffness that I am looking for. Being that I am 22 years old and don't drive all too much, this car suits me well for my needs I look forward to talking and learning more about these cars, so just wanted to stop by and say hi.

    Cheers
    -Konrad

By the way, where/how do I mount the front license plate on this car? I don't see any pre-fab holes in the bumper and it is needed by IL law. I don't want to pay any more missing plate tickets, so I am looking for the best way to mount it on. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

if you dont want to put holes in your bumper then just zip tie it to the lower honeycomb mesh portion of the bumper

go to a dealer and get a front plate bracket for a mk5 jetta if you wanna shoot holes in your bumper. otherwise just hang it up somewhere secure.
