Now What?

I am new to the Volkswagen Community and I just purchased a 2009 Wolfsburg (quite a change from my Rubicon that I used to own). I recently put in a tuner from Unitronic. I was hoping some could provide me information on what to do next with the vehicle to enhance performance. I have read that now I should put in a 3" down pipe, but I don't know if that is a good step, or where to look for preferred downpipes to start my research. Moreover, is it the correct step to take, or should I look to other things to install before the 3"? Your thoughts?
