I am sorry to hear it is that bad there . Most gas stations are now up and running again where I live in pa . I am in the southern poconos and work in the Lehigh valley . I know that a lot of gas stations in New Jersey were closed too .

73place and cooper. Myrtle and cypress hills st. 69 and Elliot.

Lines are crazy but they seem to be getting a truck in each day...and of course selling out

    Glad I don't have a VR6.... good luck

Try using gas buddy app, if the station has an updated price within the hr or so, chances they have gas.

Hess also has a site which updates their tank volume several times a day

    http://hessexpress.com/FuelInformation

    Hope that helps.

thanks for the hessexpress link. Usually hess has the lowest prices in the area and it's same price cash/credit, at least the ones i go to.

I was able to barely make it to work up in Sleepy Hollow this morning. Tank was almost empty but I found a Shell station that had gas. Waited about 30 minutes and they had a max of $30 for each car. It was enough to get me 1/2 a tanks worth of gas.

Here's a link to the gas buddy Sandy app that will give you some info based on the zip code you enter:

as of right now... no stations with fuel available are listed for my zip in Queens (Astoria - 11105). nothing for glendale either. good luck. looks like I'll be looking for another station near Sleepy Hollow to try to fill her the rest of the way up before I head home today.

UPDATE: I was able to find a station up in Westchester near my offices that had 93 and only about a 10 minute wait for gas. I'm full for now.

For those of you in Queens that can afford a trip through the Holland Tunnel, I just heard on the radio that the stations on the NJ side of the tunnel have gas and NO WAITING. Wonder how long that will last once the afternoon rush hour kicks in.

I hate to say it but I do not see this getting better any time soon. i just ordered a bunch of 5 gallon containers. I am going to start making trips to CT and other places around there, they seem to be just fine. I figure i can fill the car a drive and still bring back 15-20 extra gallons. I looked up that your legally allowed to carry up to 4 5gallon containers per car and if you have a tank it can hold no more 150 gallons and must be made of a metal

Also, from what i have found out, those few stations that pump 100 and 110 octane have plenty and no one uses it. So if you dont mind paying for 100 and your in need of 93 its fine to run

I filled up two cars today in the bronx after about a 20 minute wait.
Not so bad if you dont mind a trip to the bx.
