Your car is a 2009. If it's the stock radio just bring it to a dealership and have them fix it under warranty. No need to mention the accident.

Need help from fellow dubbers

My car was in accident- rear ended. It was pretty heavy impact. The CD was playing in that moment, and something broke inside. Now it says CDC HARDWARE ERROR. The car was repaired in body shop.
But insurance company (bs GEICO- both cars have the same) regret to fix CD-player, saying I have to prove them, it was broken while impact, otherwise they won't fix it.
I went to VW dealer, where they said- all they can do- to check it, but there is no way they can confirm it was broken in accident.
Any suggestion??? Please, I'm desperate out here
