Thread: How to DEFEAT ESP for FREE!!!!!

    1. 12-01-2012 02:54 PM #1
ok so i just figured it out the answer was posted in the "last traction controll thread needed"

      heres what you do......

take the highlited coding and replace yours with this in the exact locations...... and exit and hit do it!

      Canada:
      Software Coding: 144B800C49248000281301EC921A0141310000

example us coding yours will be different
      Software Coding: 144B800C492A0000280E01E7921B0041B70000

so it should look like this
      Software Coding: 144B800C492A8000280E01E7921B0141310000

Also if you have TirePressureMonitoringSystem then the last 6 digits should be 360000

As to all above work great with no bad functionality a easier way has been built....

Use this site to generate your custom ESP code for you...LOL

      http://carsareweapons.com/golfR.html
      OR
      http://jsfiddle.net/dz7fN/8/embedded/result/

i hope this helps as it helped me alot!!!! enjoy

ANY ONE IN THE CT AREA NEEDING THIS DONE PM ME AND ILL TAKE CARE OF THIS FOR YOU FOR FREE!!!!!!! JUST HIT ME UP!!!

So the question is, why did the guy who figured it out require a VIN?

Did you get your Euro LEDs?

Btw, if this is truly the actual defeat, Taylors still getting my $50 I was going to give him when I first saw the thread

Yeah, if this is the same solution, why does he need the VIN?

I noticed that as well after looking at the changes from mine and another members that has the exact same changes. VIN wasn't needed so I'm not sure why he asked for it.

FYI, the last 6 numbers should be 350000 if you want TPMS to remain enabled.

No. Can't say I blame him for trying but it was definitely to make it seem more specific by vehicle. Glad I didn't send $$ yet either, while I might send him a few bucks for helping the community

Yeah, I noticed that in Youngmedic's car, when messing with the long code helper, and was like
why is it changing 31 to 35, when checking the hill assist and TPMS option.

Yes. I might donate couple of bucks, if he can explain why he was asking for VINs - seems fishy.

Eh, wouldn't worry about VINs being given. Anyone can get a VIN from your car sitting in the parking lot.

      SO it should be

I knew buying a VCDS this past summer at Waterfest on discount would be useful, it's been sitting in my glovebox since then unused!

The information was already available, it's just that nobody had connected the dots yet. Instead of saying "hey, guys, I figured it out, I spent a lot of time on this, so donations would be cool", well, you know what happened.

I don't think anyone is worried about it, more questioning why ask for something that wasn't needed? Most likely to make the fix seem more complex than it was.

Hard work absolutely deserves reward. I'm not sure if it deserved a 100 per code reward knowing what the change was but it deserved something. He put 2 and 2 together when no one else did.

He certainly does deserve credit for figuring it out. No question there. I take issue with the approach of compensation.

Agreed. I don't see refunds, even partial coming. If they truly sold 100 already I think 10k is a healthy reward for less than 24hrs of work. VIN stuff still bugs me though... A little dishonest in the sales tactic.

The car has been out for a while. And let's face it. If it wasn't for him we would of all kept going in the other topics spreading the YouTube video whining and complaining.

I peeked around vcds in the past and before I did the coding And unless you specifically know what each byte is in the Abs module i highly doubt you would just figure out which ones to change. There is no information that vcds lists in the ones that get changed. Go to vcds long coding and look and you'll know what I mean
