As the temperatures begin to drop, and I begin to freeze in my bare bones Miata I again grow envious of those with heated seats.

So, show me the cheapest bun warmers on the market!

Hyundai/Kia is my guess. Actually right now an SX4 w/ the tech package. Suzuki is practically giving them away.

I would be terrified of a MK3 with heated seats.

Bitch would probably go up in flames at any second.

Last winter I had a 98 Audi A6 Quattro that I got for 4k with heated seats, heated mirrors, and a block heater. That thing was fantastic.

90's Legacy Outbacks had cloth or leather heated seats. I put leathers in my '95 Legacy L but haven't hooked the heat up yet.

My friends always get amazed when they sit in my mkIV on a cold winter day, and I ask them if they want to put the heated seats on.

They usually then ask "what year is this car?"

Or sometimes even "how much did you pay for this car?"

You could just keep some hair spray and a lighter in the car- to warm up the seat surfaces every time you get in.

Wait... Miata. You probably already have both in the car already.

Can't think of any other good options for the "under $2k because that's actually cheap" crowd.

I always just put my friends' heated seats on(front AND rear!) and let them wonder if they wet themselves.

Doesn't the SMART have heated seats? Those are pretty cheap for a new car, although I'd rather have no heat and just drive around nude in 30 degree weather in a Miata than drive a SMART.....

RWD Volvos (740/760/S90/850/S70) can be reasonably cheap to pick up.
