These pics are apparently from Poland, so details may be different from US-spec, but most likely this is the basic body we'll get. Not nearly as radical as the Furia concept, but it does look more substantial than the current car. The front pic is at such an odd angle that it's hard to judge proportion...it makes the grille look massive.

I never thought I'd live to see the day when a corolla is more visually interesting than a civic.

I hate Toyota, but that looks damn good. Successfully mixed swoops and edges.

To no surprise it's still safe though. I can't picture Toyota turning their bread and butter into a Molester or other offbeat vehicle. Maybe they'd take their chances if they still produced the SR-5 though.

Still better than the 3AT that was in my '93! Actually, this is the best looking Corolla since the '93 E100.

Anything is an improvement over the previous model, but this is a mess of a design IMHO. Just because it is better looking than the last Corolla doesn't make it attractive.

I just can't seem to get behind this new Toyota design, which started with the New Camry.

I mean, I know it's cleaner than old designs, but the whole "headlights blend into swoopy grill" thing just doesn't hack it for me.

Either way, it looks much better than the old one. I rented a few of those, and they were truly terrible cars (from an enthusiast standpoint).

A lot of manufacturers are confusing style for design these days.

Having gotten some seat time in a Rav4, its new interior is pretty cheeseball unless you step up to the limited and get real stitching.

I'm sure it will be a complete snooze to drive, but it doesn't look bad at all. I'll be very interested to see what has become of the interior.

They had cars in 1852? Nonetheless, the current Craparolla is one of the worst vehicles in its class at the moment. It sells only on the merit of its name. I'm sure the driving dynamics haven't improved. To an enthusiast, this car is the antichrist. It is the epitome of an automotive appliance.

Yeah, the base and midrange Rav4 looks like this:

That gray bit is just molded vinyl, with the "stitching" embossed in the same material. It was SO cheesy. The top-line model gets real stitching, but they should have just made the low-rung models grained plastic with no attempt to look like leather. Otherwise, the interior was okay aside from some switchgear that's over a decade old, but....

The Corolla is not meant to be a Zero to 60 King, is not meant to sport stitched dash or leather seats. It is meant to be a point A to point C ride, trouble free with good economy.

People want it the way it is and that is why it sells so well and is listed on the guiness book of records as the world’s best-selling car!

    Why mess with success????

I think it looks dandy the way it is for what it is....
