Also, I bought a six pack of Denoginizer on my way home after the train. Lady called to say she's going out with a friend, so I bought myself some gyro's, and got denogged. Holy crap my 5am wake up call sucked, and it's hard to believe I've been at work for two hours already.
My summer project this year is getting the outdoors in order. I bought a tow behind dethatcher, will be testing the soil soon to see if I need to put down lime, will be more diligent in my fertilizer schedule, etc. The back is a mess and needs more work. I have a firepit back there so i need to start working on my burn pile. We're also looking at getting a deck put in. We've got a big concrete slab around the pool, but a deck would really help with the usable outdoor space.
Anyone have recommendations on materials? Are composites better than the first gen stuff? We get 4 seasons here, so temp changes are a thing. I'm looking to get it done right from the get go. Run the gas line for the grill, built in benches on one side, 2 staircases, etc.
Blueprint is a HUGE time commitment, but it is so well presented, and researched, I think it's worth it.
If you want shorter history podcasts, I enjoy Our Fake History. Sebastian Major vs popular historical myths. They usually run 20-40 minutes each, and no more than three episodes on a topic as a general rule. Less exhaustive, but much quicker paced.
Ourfakehistory.com for shorter bites with a more energetic host. Try his series on the Trojan War (episodes 15-17) or the 1421 hypothesis (26-27) for good ones.
