... based on skills. Looks is for another thread.
Also, I used the x_northernNorthAmerica term just to lure in some more folks. I am talking about what in the US is known as "soccer."
Also, the logic in the title means I don't care to hear from anyone who does not like the most beautiful game - played by women.
For the past 6 years or so I have been impressed by Dzsenifer Marozsán. There are many other players I like, but no one comes close to her in terms of versatility and ability to read the game. Deadly passes and excellent bending free kicks like Mesut Özil, being in the right spot at the right time like Mario Gómez, diagonal runs turning parallel to the goal and then shooting long-distance like Marco Reus or André Schürrle - yet in important games also quite defensive-oriented and developing the game from deep down like Toni Kroos (comparison to all male German footballers on purpose, here).
A recent example: 4 goals and 2 1/2 assists in one international (admittedly against an outclassed opponent, but under truly difficult field and weather conditions):
BTW, don't be fooled: the Croatian goalie is young but relatively tall and quite good (also visible during other times of this particular game), and supposedly being lured by Bundesliga teams.
