I travel to Japan very often for business and as a massive car nut, I try to capture the cool and particularly rare (even if it's only to us Emurikans), whenever possible.

Here's a small sample of some of things I was lucky enough to see in the last 6 months.

These images were captured with my iPhone 4S, iPhone 5S, GoPro HERO 3+ Black Ed, and my XE-1, so the image quality and focal lengths vary quite a bit.

I will keep the text to a minimum and let the pics speak for themselves. As the title states, this is Japan, in car photos BUT, let's start with Ginza at Sunset

iPhone 4S photos. Made an impromptu trip to Tsukuba and didn't have a proper cam on me. So as they say, the best camera is the one you have with you.

Unbelievably cool, thanks for sharing. The Ram that's styled like a NASCAR Camping World Series truck is so cool to see in that setting.

That R34 GT-R has me all kinds of envious. I rode in an R32 GT-R in Japan when I was a teenager and it was an absolute blast, will never forget it!

Whenever I see these 'pics from Japan' threads, I always wonder just how rare the cars I'm going to see are. So far this is an impressive one! But still, I await the day that I see a 1991 Chevy Lumina Z34 on the streets of Tokyo... THAT would be rare haha

What's the story on the Ram and the Scirocco? And the race car in the dusty showroom? Cast off after a season-ending mechanical failure?

Very surprised the Scirocco has US-spec lights. I would have expected something different, similar to Euro lights.
The Perrier brand colored mirrors are cool, too.

Could be a US spec car that made its way there somehow.

Has euro bumpers and it looks like euro corner lights.

Some euro/ROW models came with the four square headlight buckets like US cars, but with H4 e-code housings in them. no idea what the rhyme or reason was, seems to have been early cars especially.

It has dual wipers, so it has to be a late '84 or earlier model.

It was parked at Odaiba Megaweb during an exhibition of EV race cars.

The Ram and the Scirocco were parked across the street from the track at a shop. Shop was closed, sorry no other deets other than the Ram appeared to be an actual Camp Series Nascar truck. The dusty racecar is the Leyjun Mosler MT900 campaigned some 6 years ago in the Super GT300 class.
