So now that information is slowly coming about about both, we know the following:

      • MT available on both, DSG on R
      • Seats 4
      • AWD
      • ~ 300 HP
      • I imagine starting price of $32k+ for both

Which would you pick? R for me!

I'll take an Evo X over both.

      Why isn't this a poll?

      I'll take the Fiesta ST.

For me the question is R or S3. I'll probably go R.

i just cant bring myself to get over the fact that the front on the new STI looks so much like the evo x. while i like the evo, i just dont like seeing the sti (which always looked so different) mimic something else.

hard decision, but i think id go with a Golf R

The poll didn't appear when I posted - hence, my question.

I'll still go with the Fiesta ST.

Fiesta ST is far far below these two cars...

It's a fantastic $21k and a terrible $35k car. It's awesome for what it is, but 300hp AWD hot hatch it is not...

      Typical TCL.

"Which one, the apple or the orange?"

"I'll tke the Llama please. 'cause I'm a special snowflake and can't do a simple poll."

Of the choices given, the Golf R. Barely. I like both, but the Golf is a little more... mature, I guess.

They are pretty comparable for me so the sway vote goes to the hatch. I can't stand having a trunk.

      wait, huh?

Corolla or hatchback...I would take the hatchback for the fact it doesn't look like an appliance /w a body kit.

Golf R for me, but likely can't wait and stick with the S3

WRX STi v Golf R. Zzzzzzzzzz.
If you're going for boy racer, why go for the mature version? And AWD? No fun tire-spinning in that.
I chose the 325i to thumb my nose at the establishment.

I voted hatchback. I know that wing is somewhat functional on the sti, but it is just a little too much for my tastes.

Why are discussing an STi that we have no specs on, haven't seen any documented images of, and doesn't have an availability date?

I'll take an '14 EVO MR, BTW.
