Thread: 2014 GLI Autobahn with NAV

    1. 01-08-2014 02:37 PM #1
I just filled up my gas tank for the first time and see that it called for 91 octane. I stopped at a Shell gas station and they had V-power which is 93 octane. I assume the more expensive gas cant hurt, but is 91 octane the preferred gas? Will the car run better on 93? I plan on sticking to a certain octane level from here on out, whether it be 91 or 93.

      I appreciate any advice.

Don't put anything below 91 in it...

If 91 is available (not all stations carry it), use that, if it isn't, use 93...

west of the rockies only has 91,hence the 91 requirement.
      use 93 if available.

Consider 91 the minimum. You're good to go, man.
