Thread: Mint golf 1.8t almost done "overview of the build"

    1. 06-15-2014 08:38 PM #1
So being almost ready to start. I figure I would post the build.
The start. I couldn't find a car in ct. So I drove to New Hampshire to pick it up

Starting a mild bay shaving ( left heat and air intake. I wanted this car to be driven )

      Ooooooh I like this.
That color is pure shamrock shake right there., and those wheels are SWEET.
      In for more.
How does a rotary work? This one's easy: the magic triangle spins in the peanut and then apex seals come out.

      all red hella tails.

So I took every wiring harness apart and deleted every wire that wasn't going to be used to clean up under the dash.
I'm going with a golf dash with a votex center counsel to keep it Clean

It's not that bad of a budget when you do everything your self. (Bodywork. Paint. Fabrication. Wiring. And everything ) pretty much by your self.

      Cut
      Plastic welded and heat pins

It took me forever to find a broken grill to do this.

Wait, so you're using your rollcage as an air tank for your airride set-up? That's crazy! Very creative

That amp is just for door speakers. Their is no radio in the car just a direct iphone hook up for long drives. And actual you have the hole rear quarter for air space and with vents by the tail light. It's perfect for what I want :-)

      Valve cover mod.

So I did the euro na 20v vale cover but didn't like how the oil cap / breathe looked. So I cut it off lol. And added a baffled breather on the side
      Cut and welded

      Painted to match.

I put it on and I didn't like how the coil packs looked.

      Made a cover.

      Polished.

Outstanding... But why such an obnoxious color of green (joking for those of you who don't know the colors I've run).
