Sold a Tacoma to get into this truck. I had it optioned specifically. Its nice you can check option boxes on these trucks and don't have to buy "packages".

Plow package - upfitter switches, high amp alternator, heavy duty front springs.
Trailering package (heavy duty sway bars), but with brake controller delete (I prefer aftermarket controller).
Electric window/convenience package delete
I don't actually have my paperwork handy but I BELIEVE my OTD was around $26 or $27k.
I have to drive this truck and trailer to San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas on Friday so in about a week I will give a 6,000 mile update.
It is very quiet....like a tomb inside. After about 50 mph, you can't tell your speed based on road or wind noise. 75 and 50 sound the same.
Fuel economy is 22 hwy 18 city and when rolling empty the truck does appear to meet that. Towing my box trailer (aerodynamics of a Taco Bell restaurant) with 2k lbs in it I get 16 hwy at 70 mph which is pretty good.
The transmission is amazing. Snappy shifts up or down when you want them with no fuss. Manual mode is genius.
Factory projector lights are awful. Dim output and the pattern is all over the place.
The interior is great. BOTH seats are soft touch so the discerning VW owner would feel right at home.
