One of the most interetsing classes I took as an elective in undergrad was ethnomusicology. I've always liked cultural music and right now I'm listening in on my neighbor playing something catchy. Shazam says its a band called Elefante.

Other groups I have learned of along the way are Jorge Ben from Brazil

Baka Beyond which is really an amalgamation from around the world. Started as some white dudes trying to emulate the Baka people, but became something different is my understanding.

I also like reggae oldies. Really all over the place. Anyhow, what else is out there you all know of and care to share?
Take my fusion hybrid, please! Blue 2013 titanium package, goes to the first person that will take it for only what is owed. PM me if serious.

I'm just a regular Joe, with a regular job. I'm your average white, suburbanite slob.

Check out music that Real World Records have been releasing over the past 25 years. You'll hear the best artists from every corner of the World.

Also, check "Music From..." series by Putumayo.
