We would like to introduce our new MK4 Golf VXT OEM HID Rep Headlights. These are one of a kind, not your average reps. Our reflectors will definitely give you that OEM look you are looking for and on top of that, we added a 2.5" projector for more light visibility and better performance.

Our Headlights come with a standard VXT 2.5" Bi-xenon H7 Projector. Its brightness and performance will definitely outperform the 1.75" projectors found on the OEM HID's. All of our headlights come in LHD (Left Hand Drive) configuration, but if you are from another part of the world and need RHD configuration, we can also make it happen. Why we decided to go with H7 projectors and not D2S? Well, by doing this, our headlights can be used with halogen and xenon bulbs. It's easier for customers with a tight budget to enjoy the headlights right out the box, and not having to spend more on a xenon kit. They can always upgrade in the future. Our headlights are always xenon ready. No need to drill any holes or any modifications. You just have to unplug a connector and plug the xenon connector in. That simple.

If you want a more sharper cutoff, you can upgrade for an additional $140 to the MORIMOTO Mini H1 5.0 projectors. These projectors will amaze you with their performance. With the purchase of the MORIMOTO Projectors, we include 2x adapter plates and all hardware required. Installation is done in-house and will be shipped with projectors pre-installed.
We have 3 styles to choose from. The all Chrome, for that OEM Look and style. The all Black, for that more aggressive sportier look. And last, our Chrome with Black trim bezels. This style is the same look and style found on the 20th Anniversary GTI models, or the 25th Anniversary GTI models in Europe. For the All Black style and 20th A/E style Finish, there is an additional $10 dollar charge.
We have added an option where you can customize your turn signals. You can choose either Clear, Amber or Smoked. Our inner turn signal reflector is amber (same as OEM) so no matter what turn signal lens color you choose, you will always have an amber blinking light.

Our rear covers are one of a kind. They have a built in power connector which will feed power to your ballast. There is definitely no need to cut or drill any holes to the rear covers. Unless you get your own HID kit, then you will need to cut a hole to the exact size of the grommet that is included with your HID kit. This has to be done in order to run the bulb from the inside to the outside of the headlight. If you select, either our VXT HID kit or the Moirmoto HID Kit, we will install the bulbs and add the correct size grommet for you, so you can have a complete assembly ready to install. That means less mess and less wires at the time of plugging everything in. With our headlights, you don't need any special harnesses to make them work. Simply plug them in to your stock headlight connector, connect your ballast to the rear cover, and you are ready to go. Adding a relay harness is not required, but we do recommend it.

We are now offering our own VXT HID Kits for an additional $64.99. Our kits come with a 1 year warranty against any manufacturer defect. These are great and very affordable. They are very compact, and their performance and quality is absolutely amazing for its size. If you still think you need more power and performance, but you don't care hurting your wallet. We also carry the H1: Morimoto Elite HID System HID Kits. These are absolutely amazing kits, made with high quality components. These kits start at $150 and come with a relay harness. Both kits will definitely keep you happy and satisfied. We highly recommend to stay away from those cheap HID kits found on eBay or other sites. They will cause you headaches and can run the risk of damaging your wiring or other electrical components on your car.

All of our headlights will come with Glass lenses pre-installed and will include all bulbs (except HID kit) which is sold separately. Every headlight will be assembled in house and will be inspected before it leaves the warehouse. Our general wait-list time is one to two weeks, but may be longer during holidays or closures.
We completely understand that you have worked hard for your money as well as we have to ensure you a great product, so if anyone tries to screw you over if something goes wrong, we would understand how you would feel as we would not want that ourselves.
We stand behind all of our work. All our Morimoto headlight build components carry worry free individual manufacturers warranties directly through TRS (TheRetrofitSource) We are able to help process these warranties if the items we’re purchased from us and you are the original owner.
Our craftsmanship warranty is guaranteed for 18months. What that means is as long as you own the lights for that period of time, we’ll make any needed repairs, fixes or adjustments should something fail or go wrong with our specific services or labor. Excludes glass lenses.

Our VXT HID Kits, carry a one year warranty against any manufacturer defect. Diagnostic, HID component or otherwise vehicle system related issues, function-ability & any component specific related malfunctions are NOT covered by our warranty.
Now there are definitely some exceptions to this warranty so people cannot just randomly take advantage, and here are the reasons:
      • If the client decides to open his/her headlight
      • If the client tampers with the seal anywhere on the lights
      • If the client sends the headlights to another retrofitter
      • If the clients' headlight have been sold or given away
(Buyer must take care of all shipping costs)

Price will start at $299.99 + Shipping. The MOROMIOTO projector upgrade is an additional $140 and HID kits start at $64.99. You can choose your options according to what you need.
With every purchase you will receive
1x Set of complete MK4 Golf VXT OEM HID Reps with Standard VXT H7 2.5 Bi-xenon Projectors
      2x Ballasts extension power harnesses
All bulbs (Except HID bulb and Ballasts) We are currently out of H7 high beam bulbs, you can alwasy use the ones from your old stock se

HID Kits and Morimoto Projector Upgrade are sold separately. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Would these reflectors fit into a stock Golf IV HID to convert to a Bi-Xenon?

Will this kit have detailed instructions?
Many people enjoy eating apples and oranges, but in the end they are still… just apples and oranges. The R32 is passion fruit. . Live Long and Prosper.

Sorry, there are no fog lights. We made these headlights with the intention to have that OEM look but with a better projector.

Sorry, our reflectors will not fit the OEM Xenon housings.

Yes, we will have detailed instructions. But it's very simple. Everything will be assembled in house and pre-installed. All you have to do is just connect the ballast. We made these headlights pretty much plug and play

Very interested in these, if available may have to pick some up next spring, maybe this winter.

Was wondering, what about electronic leveling? Would the E-level motors fit into the housings?

You can use the leveling motors from the European Golf Halogen E-codes. Those will work. Headlights are already pre-wired for motors.

We will be doing a full review in about a week or two. We will be shipping 2 sample sets of headlights to some customers in Cali, and NJ. They will be doing the reviews and taking lots of detailed photos. Once the review is finally done we will post them here and our website. Thanks

      Thank you!

We hope to have them earlier, but just to be in the safe side we decided to put November in case of any delays.

      A few questions:

      1) For the R32 with fog light switch, will everything still be plug and play regarding wiring and then the fog light position on the switch just won't do anything?

      2) I noticed in one of the pictures there is no bulb in the original high beam reflector, I'm guessing it's possible to install a "dummy bulb" in there so that it doesn't look like you have a bulb missing even though these are bi-xenon?

      3) You mentioned that you recommend relays, for those of us with zero retrofit experience will you be providing relays as an option and instructions for install?

      4) Again for those of us who have zero experience with retrofits, does the ballast need to be mounted someplace? Does the wiring for the ballast just go between the headlight and the original headlight connector or do we have to wire the ballast to something else?

I'm guessing most of my questions will be answered in the upcoming reviews

Yes, you can still run the fog light switch or Euro Switch. In the middle position of the Euro Switch, you can run the city lights alone (drl's) with these headlights. If you just have a factory US Spec fog light switch, there will be no use for it.

      2) I noticed in one of the pictures there is no bulb in the original high beam reflector, I'm guessing it's possible to install a "dummy bulb" in there so that it doesn't look like you have a bulb missing even though these are bi-xenon?
No need for that, you can run the high beam bulb as well at the same time with the bi-xenon. If you think its too much light, simply just run the bixenon by itself and disconnect the H7 High beam bulb.

      3) You mentioned that you recommend relays, for those of us with zero retrofit experience will you be providing relays as an option and instructions for install? Yes, we will provide instructions and we will be having relays as an option to buy as well.

      4) Again for those of us who have zero experience with retrofits, does the ballast need to be mounted someplace? Does the wiring for the ballast just go between the headlight and the original headlight connector or do we have to wire the ballast to something else? Ballast has enough wire to be hidden in the engine bay somewhere. We recommend by the fender wall. Headlights will be pretty much plug and play, all you have to do is just connect the ballast and connect your stock headlight connector to the headlights and you should be up and running. If you wish to add a relay, its just an extra step, but nothing too complicated. Anyone can do it.

I'm guessing most of my questions will be answered in the upcoming reviews

What will the price be after the pre-buy and what will you charge for shipping to norway?
what bi-xenon projector are used in the standard version and what is the benefit of buying the uprated H1 morimotos?

Trying to decide if im gonna preorder or wait for the review, depending on the price difference it might be worth it to just buy the upgraded ones on pre-order

Thank you for finally releasing these, now i might avoid that roofmounted ugly led bar

      Mike,

I posted on the 337/20th thread since you hadn't posted on here yet. Curious, these photos/videos you have posted, what is the setup these are running? Any chance you will have the a setup with the h1 projector upgrade so see the difference between the two?
