Ohh and I started moving into my new place! Got a 2 car garage in the alley. The garage entry is kind of awkward so only my car is going in the garage. Can't wait to get completely moved over and out of my craptastic apartment!

      Tacos? Mmmmmm tacos.
      http://www.grovelandtap.com/specials.php
      Thursday: Taco Night
Choose from chicken or beef in a hard or soft tortilla shell. Topped with cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. Sour cream and salsa included.
More expensive than Tracy's but the tacos are excellent quality.
$1.50 a taco and $2.25 Pints of Summit / Basket of Fries... too bad the happy hour is 3:30 - 5:30 pm and then again from 9:00 pm to midnight... Tacos are $1.50 any time on Thursday.
We could meet at 8:30, order a pitcher or two and let it carry into 9:00pm.

are headers worth it on a VR6?
how about if all exhaust components were changed, ie header, high flow cat, and exhaust?

i have a toasted Catalytic Converter and figured if i had to take all that **** off, i might as well replace it all.
      comments?

I suppose on how cheap the parts are?
      Header
      Exhaust system
      Intake
With all 3 parts you might make 10-15hp at the wheels. That's a reasonably healthy gain. Just depends on the cost.

    23. 12-30-2008 01:52 PM #38973
i have read in the vr6 forums that the headers net no real gain and does not provide better performance than stock.
      thats why i ask.

Oh. Well on a VR6 I don't know. I know on my Nissan Sentra the parts I added from Hotshot Performance had proven dyno'd gains. They made Intakes and Headers for GA16, SR20, QG18, QR25...
When I added a CAI and Catback exhaust system to my Sentra I noticed an obvious increase in grunt but unfortunately did not have any dyno'd proof of a performance increase.
Nissans and VW's... apples and oranges...
