EW used to be an event for euro owners to get together. But since the club has grown so big, it needs funding to stay as big as it is. Unfortunately, at the same time it takes away the more close nit community of car owners just like volksport did. It started small, and just got too big to be "that small club". But then again, a bunch of the original members turned for the worse.
I support eurowerks alot. Its one of the only car communities of people in minnesota that focuses on people working together with people to help everyone.

I've just been in the car scene since 2000 and seen pretty much everything good and bad.

I enjoy going to the shows.
I just dislike navigating through all the vendors to see cars and people.

Complaining on the internet is the best way to fix something. Especially when you do it in a condescending way.

cars are all together, vendors are sandwiched in the middle. just close your eyes when you walk across the street.

then you get the highschool kids, who just wanna jack off every car and do burnouts when they leave.
Pretty soon, vendors will start showing up, putting up tents, and advertising their business to people. Oh wait, that already has happened
I'm having trouble seeing what the problem is with a gathering of car enthusiasts wanting to see (in my opinion) a rare car in these neck of the woods? I don't see Ferrari's or Lambo's daily, let alone even in a summer here, so you'll see me flock with the rest of em to check it out. To me, that's a huge part of being a car enthusiast; checking out rare exotics and everything else there is to offer. I'm not bitter about a guy who well more than quadruples my salary, can afford a car like that, and is actually cool enough to bring it out, gather with other enthusiasts, and talk with those of us who drive soon-to-be 10 year old VW's (that's me, btw).

While the burnouts are excessive and unnecessary, wow do i enjoy hearing exhaust notes that i would otherwise only be able to hear when sitting in front of my tv (from cars simply rolling out of the entrance to giving a..modest boost of the accelerator).

I will agree that there is a group of people who are going for (in my opinion) the wrong reasons, those being the "my car is better than yours" mentality.

I absolutely love cars and coffee and have enjoyed watching it grow, attract a more diverse crowd of enthusiasts, and most importantly watching Louis take necessary steps to keep the gathering in control as issues come up. Hope to see some of y'll there saturday!

every saturday this year (past 2 months) I have had stuff to do so I have not been out yet. I want to go again just to go and see how it is. Although I enjoy sleeping in until 10am on my days off, it is worth it seeing some pretty cool cars, and collections in owners garages. That one guy with all the old BMW micro cars and electric cars from the 50's 60s was pretty cool.

It was another pretty good turnout Saturday! I can't wait until the day comes where it'll actually be a nice day out..it will be effing packed there. Went and checkout a bbq over at Full Blown in AV afterwards and saw some pretty impressive cars there. My buddy has been doing work on his s2000 but some of the ones i saw there were insane. Then it absolutely down poured for 2 hours and buzz killed my saturday

Any reccomendations for someone in the twin cities that works with turbochargers? Someone who know's their "s" to the "t" but is reasonable.

The K03 in the VeeDub is fine, but both TD03's in the S80 went out to lunch. I can rebuild most of it myself, but I'll probably need to get them balanced somewhere, compressor wheels on both are junk and will needs to be replaced and I recon the shaft on the second turbo is scored.

Just wanted to comment on this.

Eurowerks has honestly the best vendor set up I've seen so far. I've been to a couple of the "bigger" shows and felt like the vendors were more of the show than the cars.

Also I want my wheels to be done

Went to look at Touareg Tdi's today.
Impressed on the new 2012 ones. They are super quiet and ride smooth as glass.

Looked at a used 2010 at westside. That was a total joke. Truck was beat to within an inch of its life by the p/o. Then the sales guy was like, well you don't want that one anyway What car salesman tells you what you want and don't want.
Chris Palmer wasnt there though unfortunately.
