      Evening all,

I'm looking to do the first superficial mod to my car and have the interior trim either coated in, wrapped with, or replaced by carbon fiber. As that suggests, there are three methods to how it can be approached:

      1) preferred method - coat the interior trim with a layer of real carbon fiber

      2) most expensive option surely - replace the original OEM trim with real carbon fiber panels

      3) easiest method - simply wrap the trim with carbon fiber styled vinyl

I prefer the first method, but I cant seem to find a place to do the work. I was in contact with a guy who offered to make me new trim entirely from carbon fiber, but the deal ended up sounding shady so I called it off.

Do you of you know where I can have the original OEM trim layered with real carbon fiber? I'm right outside of Chicago but do not mind shipping the trim to the craftsman.

      Thanks again as always

Unfortunately the trim on the dash is currently not available.

I asked the same question BUT the one with the red trim at the top. That's what those pieces have. Last time I remember, it is all fake carbon fiber. You could get it dipped... though that might cost a lot. I would go for wrapped. I think it looks better. But hey, if your budget is huge, why not? Getting real carbon fiber trim pieces would involve having a company make the pieces for you (which if you can find one, LINK US!) and it would be EXPENSIVE. Just saying carbon fiber sounds expensive (it caused my electric bill to go up by typing this). If you wouldn't mind some red, go with the ones I linked. No pictures but I am sure you can find one since they are on the SE and SEL (some GLI's like the one I found).

look at OCarbon. it's not cheap but it is top notch. had mine done last spring and its just perfect, plus it's a custom job so no one has anything else just like it.

For real CF work I highly highly recommend tony at Carbon Fiber Element. He does work that's second to none with real CF wrapping. Ive had quite a few parts wrapped by them (350z switch plates and center waterfall, z06 vette waterfall/console and my gt500 console/radio surround) and they come our gorgeous and very durable. His prices are very reasonable as well and turnaround is relatively quick. Contact info here https://www.facebook.com/carbonfiberelement
