Help with breathing issues

This is my first turbo car, so I'm learning as I go.

the issue I'm having is an air, turbo, or valve problem I think.

any time I really put my foot into the throttle, mostly at or above 4,000 rpm, the engine bogs, for lack of a better description. The turbo spools, then drops, spools, then drops; over and over until I let off or shift. I've been babying it because of this, but I need to find the culprit.

the only remedy I tried was unplugging the MAF sensor to see if that was it, and it's not. It acts exactly the same when unplugged.

i also tested the diverted valve; working good.

What about the n75 valve? I don't know what else to check, but an NA engine, I don't think, would do this. What other components in the turbo system could be faulty?

Access to a vag com would be good. It would allow you to get a full scan which Would tell us any codes.

I would start with an exhaust leak test and intake pressure test per the faq
