      Florida folks, need some help.

I am potentially moving to the St. Pete area (from Atlanta) for a new job, what are some good/safe/family friendly areas I need to be looking at moving to?
What are average rental prices for 3/2 houses? Is it better to rent an apartment/ condo?
I have to laugh when someone calls me an a*****e. I've been called far worse than that.

My AC just went out (stopped cooling) on my 2002 GTI/337 and I suspect is a bad compressor. Can anyone recommend a place in Tampa area (I'm in Riverview) besides the dealership where I can take it for service?

I called the dealership in Brandon and they said my compressor alone costs around $600 . I think this is ridiculous, if you consider I can get the same compressor OEM brand new GermanAutoparts.com for $255.

I don't mind paying for service as long as is reasonable. I you have a suggestion or know of a guy or place I'd greatly appreciated
