I just used VagCom to reset the' basic settings' of the DSG.(2010 Passat 2.0, 60K miles). I feel there is an improvement in the initial clutch engagement when starting off.

My new dd is a '10 PWagon, 2.0T, DSG - not cool either. Wife drives the 97 Jetta GT.

Improvement will go away in around 1 fuel tank.

Sadly its true, but anyone know why is it like that? What will happen again that the "better feel" will not stay there?

Because DSG self-adjusts after some time, probably to what is best for wear but not for driving.
