We put together this design for 2 reasons. 1 it can help get some awareness out there for the TSI guys about the tensioner issues, and 2 its a pretty cool design (or at least in my opinon). We are planning to product these shortly and we are working on finalizing the design. Let me know your thoughts.

If youre not sure what this is about and you have a TSI engine.... Go HERE its pretty important.

Interesting, but maybe you should put " only apply to these models before 2013"

Is that a fact? 2013 cars have the new one fitted already??

I believe that 2013 some have the new one and some don't.

"tensioner issues"? Is there a separate thread on it?

hey Paul .. excellent work on putting out your educational videos, very helpful and very much appreciated .. yep, just got mine replaced while the upper and lower covers were being resealed - nothing was wrong with my 'old' tensioner, but i had them replace it and now i know for sure ... the t's are cool man - kinda chain-saw-massacre style, eh .. but, no chains, no tensioner, just guides? ... how about writing 'chain gang' with chain-link type/font/object .. and, perhaps use the 'T' shape of the tensioner more effectively, maybe for the 'TSI' or as a bow/bow gun while making them somewhat larger - bustin up the 'chain gang' ... oh, and instead of ' shopdap' in front, i'd place 'deutsche auto parts' across shoulder on back and 'shopdap.com' below it and your logo/#askdap on sleeve(s) ... or not, cheers .. good luck!

I already had my chain tensioner preemptively replaced. And you think I can afford a T-shirt?

      I kid. Nice shirt!

You DEFINITELY NEED to have yours replaced before it's too late. I had mine replaced last year as a precaution when I started to see quite a few guys in the Facebook groups have them fail and destroy the engine.

Any chance of a lighter colour tee? I'd love to get a couple of them to wear through the summer, but the sun is rather hot on a black shirt. The grey colour pictured above would work nicely, but I can't find it on your site.

      Thanks!

Thank you so much for the interest. I appreciate it very much. We actually scrapped the gray bc the text didnt show up well. This was a limited time run and we are only planning black. I completely understand the black might not work in the summer for you. Again I appreciate the interest

Sorry to hear but I think you made a good choice 1200 is better than 5000.00
