i would hope that this custom feature you're talking about has something to do with the drain plug *snip* in order to make way for an easier/cleaner way of draining the coolant system via the crack pipe

You hit the nail square on the head. We all know what a freakin' mess it is changing the coolant.

Seriously! That stupid plastic drain plug got stripped the second I tried to unscrew it. What EXACTLY is the special feature?...if you can disclose that.

It will completely eliminate the mess associated with the drain plug, while still utilizing it.

Depending on the cost, I would seriously consider ordering 2. I know aluminum should be a lifetime part, but you never know, and I'd rather have a backup since I plan on keeping the C for life.

Select "No..." I will consider doing a G60 elbow if there is enough interest.

I just had mine break on my first run out after winter storage. What a PITA I stripped the bolt that goes into the radiator housing and then I broke the housing while trying to get the stripped bolt out.

If you make these for the G60, i will definitely be in.

Yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about. This happened on my VR6 rado too when I was trying to replace the cracked elbow. Ended having to get a new rad (which wasn't a bad thing becasue I'm running much cooler now) Replaced everything else plastic at the time. The plastic really sucks. Also on another note how dissapointing that the PWR radiator just doesn't have the elbow cast into their rad or something. I'd be pissed if I had to put that plastic piece of ____ on top of that expensive rad. That bites.

Depending on the price, count me in as well.

Just an idea, if you really want to boost the numbers post some info in the MKIII and VR6 forums. There are bound to be some other people who would like this as well.

Hey Dak! I'm in if you make this thing a reality.

Also, what kind of mods did you have to do to the PWR radiator to get everything to fit? Is it just trimming the fan shroud for fan swtich clearance or was there more to it? I've been considering upgrading since I have a 3.0L long block from Schimmel on the way. I'm sure I'll be making even more heat now...

~edit: BTW, if the G60 guys are really that interested as well, I would consider helping you guys out as well. But currently at 4 total "No...", it would be quite expensive.

I don't really understand what you are saying here. Is the G60 different from the SLC (Looks the same from the pic)? You have 4 total interested or only 4 G60 owners interested?

I have a G60 and would be interested.

IIRC, from when I friend installed one....inaddition to the shroud trimming, you also need to shorten the 2 L brackets that keep the rad inline...the brackets that bolt at the top of the rad-support.

just bought a new rad from the dealership and it has the plastic elbow already attached. would diffenatley like to replace that with a aluminum one. also interested in the t-stat housing and crack pipe.

just for information the stock vr6 rads just went up in price. i ordered mine last week and paid around 120cnd. now they are 220.
