Burger Motorsports JB1 Rev.1 (map 1 w/5.0 psi boost safety) with USB cable installed. Haven't driven it much - just around the block. The car does feel more powerful just around the neighborhood, and reminds me of a stock GTI's output. Oh yeah and the turbo is louder.

I'll open her up on the highway tomorrow. Other engine "mods" are: AFE dry filer and snow screen removed.

Power Gains: Starting at 35whp and 35ft lb with 91 octane with + 4.80psi boost over stock on the default setting. Engine estimates are 50bhp gained and 45ft lb.*

Tucked the module inside the battery box. Super stealth mod.

      More goodies to follow tomorrow.

We tinted the windows on the GSW. 35% all the way around with 3M material and we did the front windshield with the heat reduction and UV protectant. They offered to do the little side windows for $40 extra. I know a lot of people on here have said most tinting shops won't touch them, but they seemed pretty confident they could do them without tearing apart the A pillar. The car looks a lot less "domestic" than before. We have a ton more mods to do to the car but so far this is a good cosmetic step!
Anyways, big difference. Looks better and it will fight off the Atlanta summer when it arrives.

      Before:

      After:

      We also debadged it.

Did 10k service. Oil change (Castrol GTX 5w40 full synthetic), checked and topped off fluids, and gave him a good bath. Good to go for another 10k.

Technically, it was yesterday late afternoon, but I slipped a JB4 in there. After just a little bit of driving, I'm really liking it. That lag you get with the auto trans, unless you really stomp on it when leaving a stoplight is gone. More power, lower down. Really wakes up the car.

Have we concluded if the JB4 hurts the transmission yet?

I haven't seen any reports of people with auto or DSG (they put the same DSG in the Golf R so surely it can handle it) being damaged. It does seem like the stock clutch on the manual is a bit weak and it will start to slip at a lower total mileage with the additional torque with a tune or a piggyback like the JB4. I'll probably shorten up my transmission fluid change interval just to be sure.

Maybe a dumb question, and maybe not the best place, but is it possible to run the JB4 without the cable into the cabin? I don't have much interest in tweaking the maps. I'd rather a plug and play option that gives me some generic power that is easily removed before dealer visits. I guess I would just leave it on Map 1?

I'm running mine on map 6 now without the usb cable into the cabin. Only draw back to this method is you cant run logs while driving and also change maps. Not a big deal to me. Running on the recommended map 6 settings with zero issues so far.

Get the JB1 then. The JB4 has a cable to hook to the OBD port as well as the communications cable.

      I installed a JB1. IT IS GLORIOUS.

Finally got my R rear sway bar from vwpartsvortex, $95 plus shipping. Installed it today and re-seated the right rear spring, the little nipple on the bottom spring pad wasn't fully engaged with the control arm.

Oh, and the triple square fastener on one of the links disintegrated when I was swapping it, dang.

I got my deautokey complete interior LED set and reverse LED light kits installed. People aren't kidding about the service over there. They were back and forth with me via email on a Sunday night breaking everything down for me so as to make sure I was getting what I wanted/needed. I would highly recommend these guys and these two specific upgrades. Totally worth the minimal investment. I forgot to get before shots of the visor and glove box lights so I didn't post up the after shots of them.

Picked up the wife's new lease this week 2015 TDI. Washed it today and removed the carpet floor mats to leave the monster kit.

Next up I'm looking for door sill protectors and rear bumper guard. I would like them all to match and the door sill to protect both metal steps. Any suggestions?

Bought this baby last Sunday. Golf TSI 2015 SE

Gave her first washing today and took a few pics.

Plan to soon tint rear windows and either go with a front bra or clear film to protect front end from road debris.
