Looks great, I did the same for on my Max 360 on my first .:R - didn't add it to my 2nd .:R -- this has me rethinking.

Big thanks for this info. I installed my Valentine One along with a Blendmount (vw009) yesterday and aside from a few issues (my fault) it went well and things look tidy.

One not, not sure every Valentine One kit comes with this but the tap in they supplied was not one to use with the black and yellow wire. It's a blue (meant for larger gauge wire) T-tap or whatever and you need to use a red one, but like in the first post. Just an FYI if anyone is using the one sent from Valentine.

Here is a picture of what I was sent...the wire you are tapping is too small to work.

Also, since this is referencing the V1, I highly recommend getting the bluetooth adapter for either your iPhone or Android phone and then setting up the V1 using the V1 Connection app. This video walks through a recommended setup:

Also, depending on your phone you definitely want to download one of these apps to get even more functionality:

V1 Driver for iOS or YaV1 for Android. Lots of information here: https://www.rdforum.org/showthread.php?t=34133

I did a small write up a while back on installing the bluetooth dongle which fits perfectly in the map light console:

Stealth Assist and V1 Driver are also two other apps available for the V1. I like the Stealth Assist as it can make the V1 "go dark" and display only on my phone which is in a cradle.

This is my 17R V1 install. I may rewire like yours instead of patching all the way to fuse box so I have the Bluetooth a lil easier.
