So here's the story, I had this issue a few months back that my alternator would start making a "turbo-like" noise. More like a high-pitched whine to be specific. With that, my headlights and interior lights were flickering. And there are times my radio and dash lights will shut off for a second on stop-and-go traffic. I did extensive research and found out that the alternator is the issue. So I had the stealership order and install the part. Stealership also found that the wiring harness that connects to the alternator is burnt. So that's replaced as well. Everything ran fine after the install. Fast-forward to today, the same issue came back and now I'm wondering what might be causing it to act up again. Any ideas?

Thanks for pointing out the battery. The fuse box on top of the battery looks fine. Nothing burnt or corroded. I've encountered the problem again and took it to my buddy's shop. He tested out the electricals and it turns out the battery was low on charge. He even ran vagcom and everything turned out fine. It was showing 10.5 volts on the battery test. I got that battery last summer from the stealership. So hopefully there's still warranty coverage for it. Once I get it replaced, I'll keep you guys updated.

So apparently, the stealership said the battery is fine. I don't what else I can think of that's causing the issue. .... Any other ideas on what it could be?

That's so funny that they would tell you it's fine when your buddy tested it and seen it was failing. The same thing happened to my brothers 2014 accord he barely had the car for 2 and a half years and the battery started acting up on the car we went to get a replacement and hopefully under warranty they tested and said that the battery was good so the next day when he went to start the car it did the same thing it started real weak and it need to be jumped in order for it to start so had it tested at auto zone and oriely's and they both said the batter was bad and indeed it was no good so he ended up replacing it with a new one and problem solved no more issues the guy at the dealer was more then wrong and I believe they do it on purpose so they don't warranty the battery.

So after a month of finding the source of the issue, I come to realize that the radio/head unit is the problem (I have an aftermarket one from Sony. Got it back in early 2010). I left the radio off about a month and the issue never came back. Then last week, I decided to use the radio and after 10 minutes, the issue came back. So I'm assuming a wiring issue or a fuse that's on its last leg. I've decided I'll replace the head unit with the updated one from ECS Tuning some time later.

Hmm. Probably. If the issue arises again with the radio off, then I'll go on that route and replace the battery. I'll update once that's done.
