Hi folks! Replaced HID bulbs with genuine OEM from dealer. Low beams seem OK, but the road goes black at night when hi-beams on. I can hear the curtains flicking out of the way and there is a noticeable change in beam pattern against a wall, but the characteristic HID Bi-Xenon defined beam pattern is missing (see photos) and what I have is basically a diffuse wall of light (thus a dark road ahead). The low beams also seem to suffer a diffuse beam pattern but to a much lessor extent than the hi-beams and to an incoming driver seem normal.

The problem may be that the cheap Chinese OEM HID knock-offs I used last year gassed off before dying after a few months AND coated the reflector bowels in a dark film...just a guess though. Has anyone heard of this problem? Is it possible the bulbs have not been seated properly?

      Cheers, All.
