Used ECS Tuning since 2006, always A++ customer service in my experience.
I really like ECS overall. Some small gripes here and there, but they've been a great company with excellent customer service. Their website is also hands down the best for finding parts and part numbers.
That being said, everyone always complained about their shipping costs. They weren't totally unreasonable, but everyone still complained. A couple of times when I bought a $5 item that literally weighed less than 1/2 pound, I emailed them and they waved the shipping cost. So the cost was what it was, but you could usually place an order on Monday, and they would ship it on Wednesday (if they had to warehouse transfer parts), and I would get it on Friday (OH to VA).
Lately though, I think in response to their shipping complaints, they've used Fedex Smartpost as their free shipping option for orders over $99 (I think). Smartpost kinda sucks. Idk if it's Fedex's or USPS's fault but it takes forever compared to Fedex Ground or USPS Priority Mail.
Case in point. I place an order on Sunday. Parts should be available to ship in 2 days. Wednesday it is marked as "shipped," but the tracking shows it finally departed the Fedex location in Ohio early Friday morning. Estimated delivery is now Wednesday the following week. So instead of paying ~$10 for shipping and getting it within about 5 days, you can get free shipping but it will take about 10 days to receive.
That being said, I'm now going to be driving about 40 miles round trip on Saturday to pick up a $3 part from the stealership so that I can do the job I was planning to do over the long weekend (everything else in the order I'm waiting for is for a different job).
So, does the Smartpost shipping suck? Yes, pretty much. Is it ECS's fault? No. Will I be using ECS in the future? Of course. Will I be considering paying for shipping if I don't want to wait 10+ days for their free shipping? Yes. Would I go and make a thread on TCL putting ECS on blast for offering free, slow shipping? No.
EDIT: So I ended up receiving the parts today via USPS. Color me impressed. It was scheduled for delivery Wednesday and showed up today (Saturday). Not bad for free shipping on an order placed 6 days ago. I guess that's the variability with the SmartPost though.

That's not what happens with my orders shipped that way. And I'm fairly near ECS. If they would just drop in USPS it would go to Akron hub, and they would truck to CLE where it would be routed to the Brigs office and then delivered to my house 2 days max.
Insted Fedex takes the package to PA, PA drops in mail PA USPS hub sends to CLE hub CLE hub sends to brings and brings sends out for delivery. This is typically 5 days later.
Just drop the local stuff in the post office to start with ECS!!!!!!!
BUT I WANT AN UMPA LOOMPA NOW!

We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.
Placed order from ECS this past Tuesday, had items arrive via USPS yesterday (Friday) which seems pretty spot on to me. Spent a bunch of $$ with them over the years, never really had any issues. Still on the list of Bicycle019 approved vendors.
DCI - Party time, excellent.
You know u out can select which carrier to use right? FedEx, UPS, or USPS.

Maybe he'll brush the sand out of his vajayjay. Do you over-react like this if McD's forgets to super-size your fries? Threaten to sue for false advertising and plaster social media over the unmitigated gall of those corporate bastards to cheat you out of your $0.89? OP, get over yourself, really.
