Yeah, in Mexico at least most of them are marked with warning signs like "Topes - 100m" so you can slow down before you catch air.
At my college they put in a big speed hump one weekend and on Monday people were getting airborne on it. It is the type you can drive over at 10-15 MPH without getting the suspension too unsettled but if you drive over it at 30+ MPH you will have a fun time. We went down and watched for awhile and it was pretty funny.
Improving the signal-to-noise ratio
Just get a vehicle with lots of suspension travel. An old VW bus or a Ford Expedition would allow you to take that at 35 mph easily. With a Ford Raptor you would hardly take note of it being there. Most modern Subarus would hardly be inconvenienced by a little bump like that.
Buy a low-to-the-ground sports car and complain about bumps...first world problems.
It's people without severely lowered suspensions (99+%) who STOP TWICE for speed bumps that drive me nuts. It feels perfectly fine if you drive over it at normal parking lot speeds, go live in a bubble you ****ing *****.... (I should probably just shut up, especially just having admitted to doing something stupid in another thread)
I think the problem actually seems to be that the speedbump is not well-marked. So people go over it at higher speeds, and that's why it's all scraped up. If it was properly marked either in yellow, or with a sign, it wouldn't be a problem.

-Taller than it looks- so you veer towards the lower part that been lowered by vehicles bottoming out and scrapping on it.
-Because there is a huge pothole hidden behind it.
Haven't seen a pic yet in this thread of a parking lot speed bump that's worse as is.

So given evidence it is only logical the pensioners in Hondas can not control them when the VTEC kicks in, and go off the road to visit St Peter.
Focus ST which stands for Suspension Technologies.
That means it does things magically. In such ways I can not describe, but it is better in every way.
