LOL ok...didn't know we were in a "Germanic metal" competition so I guess you win.

Anyway, back to Slowhatch's bad-ass Viper.

Oh talking about who drives a Honda.

NTB's marketing is what I saw in the picture.

Took the sneaky one to a local truck stop to get her weighed in over my lunch break. I was anxious to see whether this "heaviest Viper" available was going to be a porker on the scales. I was very pleasantly surprised. Being a loaded to the gills GTS (full leather, additional sound deadning, 18 speaker audio and power seats), she still managed to weigh in exactly where the old car (gen 4) was after all the mods. 3300lbs. Amazing. The copious use of carbon fiber for the hood, roof, trunk, etc really paid off. Also the track pack lightweight brakes/wheels/tires, and the aftermarket full exhaust is probably where my weight savings come from. Regular non track pack GTS is probably 3380-3400lbs.

I don't think there's any modern sports car that does it for me like the gen 5. I'd probably enjoy driving a C7 more day to day (and they're 1/2 the price when comparing equal year and condition), but I don't see how I could when there's something that looks like that and has that V10. I'm glad you went with the blue too. I think a Stryker green car would be hard to turn down, but I'd secretly wish I'd picked the blue.

Agreed. I can spend hours just looking at the thing. Its hard to work on, because I spend more time admiring it and daydreaming than I do working.

Hey Slowhatch, I was browsing YouTube at lunch and stumbled across one of your videos from last year where you're totally owning 95 percent of the cars out that night. All I can say is your old orange Viper looks like it pulls HARD! Good stuff, I'm not including the link on here because it might get frowned upon.

      Its got a ton of flake (but not bass boat level) and looks absolutely gorgeous in sun. Moves from light to dark blue depending on lighting. Cant get enough of it;

This is one to keep. I think the collecting world will wake up to vipers soon and the earliest and latest ones will start to go up.

I've always said these cars were vastly underappreciated due to the tired wives tales of non-owners. Hopefully this will change, along with their valuation.

To that end, I tracked down the window sticker for the car today, never been happier to be the second owner

That Stryker paint is gorgeous and Chrysler makes a big marketing splash about it - so why is it only $1000 extra?

I don't think blue was a "stryker" color option.

Thought it was Orange, Green, Red, and Purple.

I know quoting pics repeatedly is a no no, but honestly, this has to be in the top 10 pics ever posted on here right? At the very least, it's in the top five pics of member cars no doubt.

Juiced is correct, only 4 stryker colors, the GTS blue is not one of them, although it is an at cost optional color.

Stryker green, orange, and purple were $5700 options, with Red being $15,000!

Is there a reason you liked the black interior over the tan? Having the tan seems like it would make the interior feel nicer. I would still give my left nugget for either, just curious.

Seconded. It should replace the yellow couch imo

I'm itching with the want for that car

They made 4 of them with that interior. Chances of one of those popping up for sale are essentially zero. Hell, they made 28 stripe delete GTS blue cars period (some of which were exported to Canada/Middle East), in the entire gen 5 production run. I was lucky enough to find one period. If life was perfect I would have got the full sepia interior, but I have no regrets.
