I'm sure you can tell car is running rough as hell. Sent to dealership and they replaced pcv car "ran correctly for 20 minutes and then started to buck on road test. rpm went to 7000 without touching the gas pedal. Found mass airflow sensor reads 1.1 with engine off and should read 0." Pressurized all hoses, tested ecu performed vacuum test. All good. Vehicle not running good/ not safe to drive."

Cts turbo intake cts turbo catless downpipe unitronic stage 2 tune. The plan is to flash back to stock and see if there is improvement. Don't know what it could be.

How does your rear main seal look? Is it leaking oil?

How does the wiring harness look for the ignition system? IE - Coilpacks?

How many miles are on your car?

I drive a 2013 vw gli with 76k miles. Not sure about either of your questions, I havent personally looked at the car and right now its all the way in upstate ny. I kinda just went ugh and sent it to the dealership and when they couldnt figure it out and wanted to charge me more money to replace things without being sure it would work so ugh I went again and towed it back home. I feel as though it is bad fuel. Car ran fine with sonoco and valero 93 but as soon as I put 10 bucks of 93 at a coner store with a gas station and car wash attached to it just to get where I had to go and about 14 miles later the car starts to back fire, some louder than others got to a place where I could stop and car ran rough as hell sounded like like a built muscle car drove it back home another 14 miles put if I remember correctly 10 bucks 93 from sonoco in the tank and let it sit overnight when I woke up I tried turning it on, it didn't start and that monday I sent it to vw.

Maybe they put diesel in? Its unlikely, but possible.

Any Idea where to start when correcting an issue where the car consumed bad gas?

If it were a mix of diesel/gas, you'd want to drain the gas tank as soon as possible. Also bleed out any fuel from the HPFP. Refill with 91 or 93 octane, and attempt to start.

I'm going to get on that as soon as I get back to New York. I appreciate your help, I'll be sure to let you know what the outcome is.

Just out of curiosity... has your low pressure fuel pump been changed out before? To my knowledge the LPFP houses the only fuel filter on this car. If you have higher miles on the car and the LPFP hasn't been changed out then I'm wondering if your filter is clogged.

No it has not been changed out. I have had conversations with people telling me to change out the filter. I plan on sending it to the shop this week or next week, I no longer live in the area where this all occurred and I don't have much time to mess with the vehicle on my own. I think you may be correct, we'll find out soon.
