[QUOTE=CaleDeRoo;104878425]There's only 2 places listen for $1MM+ in my area

And one is a ****ing light house

Not going to lie thats pretty damn cool.

I've spent alot of time upstate and some of the towns give off that old school small town vibe, its just a shame that many of them are in severely depressed areas and most of the storefronts are vacant.

I've wanted to live in a light house since I saw Pete's Dragon as a young lad.

Probably what makes it worth the money: Land to tear down and build.

It is at the end of an alley and you could put a decent garage in the back.

Keep in mind that the $500k is just an arbitrary number to start the bidding process. These bungalows in this area are generally going for $600-700k so buyers need to be aware of this so that they're not disappointed when they don't win with their $501k bid.

Or redevelop into two or three smaller homes and make a tidy profit.

I know that. Most places are selling for $100-150k above asking.

On the same street there is a 3 bed 3 bath house that was built maybe 8 years ago. Asking price is $800k, it will sell for close to $1m for sure.

25 foot lot. On my sister's block in Vancouver, that would sell for $1.2 million. The 33 foot lots are around $1.6.

      Toronto....

Around my area most of the houses are on 1/4 acre lots so the old houses (late 60's, early 70's) are being torn down for new builds. Asking between 1.2-2.

How is your playoff season going?

Lots of tear downs here as well.

Toronto. The parking lot of the country.
Why do you even need a house when most of your day is spent in traffic?
      Easy like Sunday Morning.

      Its a gong show.

Having that 101 point season a few years ago really screwed our rebuild.

Well, maybe for the first time in their history they will get the #1 pick.

This stuff totally blows my mind, are people just buying these homes as investments? How can normal people afford to live in these cities? I understand many of them were living there before the bubble, but sheesh, it's still wild.
