Thread: I know, another Miata thread. Need TCL BT pricing

    1. 06-19-2017 10:51 AM #1
My neighbor is selling her 2003 Miata LS. Photo of seller removed. Original owner, 60k miles, new clutch and timing belt this past April, tires 6 months old. The car is in excellent condition. I've told her over the years if she ever plans on selling it to let me know. She has not advertised it yet and is asking 5k. From what I can tell by searching for similar condition 2003's, this seems a very fair price. What says TCL?

I'm no expert, but from constantly pinging over Miata ads for the past few months, I'd say it seems pretty reasonable.

My neighbor is selling her 2003 Miata LS. The link is to her website, she's a local jazz singer. She is also 71 years old and still a very good looking woman. Original owner, 60k miles, new clutch and timing belt this past April, tires 6 months old. The car is in excellent condition. I've told her over the years if she ever plans on selling it to let me know. She has not advertised it yet and is asking 5k. This really seems like more of a post advertising her than asking about the car.

Check for rust (on the car), especially the rocker panels. If none, then buy car. It's a good deal.

Thanks. I'll take a look under my next chance. Sorry if this came across as a for sale ad. Just asking for myself and know that there is a great deal of collective knowledge in this forum. There are two for sale in my area and one has 100kmiles and they are asking 10k, and another with 45k miles and asking 11k. Both from different dealers.

If it's rust free and in good cosmetic condition inside/out? Buy it. That's a very good deal.

Sounds like an amazing deal. I just got a '96 for almost that much.

It's an Oregon car and while we get lots of rain, we don't use salt when it snows. Not yet anyway.

Either buy it or tell her to ask for $7k if you want to do her a favor.

      I'm in Washington. BUY IT.

In Seattle, at this time of year, any Miata under $4000 is a bucket of ****. $5k for that car is a very, very fair deal.
