I'm sure part of it is that it's just new, but it still feels much better than my '02 GTI with the sport suspension. The front end feels planted better, and the rear end feels looser...probably the tires. The gearbox is great--love the shifts! The exhaust growls slightly...very nice. Oh, and the feel of the steering wheel & shift knob is a nice touch. I do wish there were more red accents on the interior, though.
I know there's nothing new in those few first impressions...

Thanks, but I think the tires just needed to be scuffed up a bit...at least to get the "tire wet" off. I'll check the pressures tomorrow.

Went to go register my new Jazz Blue #2555 into the registry and i noticed the destroyed section. I am the first person in it. Congrats to me. I took the numbered plate with me before saying goodbye to the car. So i will always remember it. Lets hope the engine and tranny from the car find a good home one day in a older vw.

Keeping the dash plaque from 3021 is an excellent idea bluejetta95. By doing that, it ensures that the next owner doesn't buy it thinking it's in prime condition. Excellent thinking!![]()

On a curious side note,.... why does this thread keep dropping away? Personally i think it should be pinned.![]()

The number of spotted cars is slowing, so i might start calling some US dealerships and finding out what the numbers are of the 20AE cars they have on hand are.
#159

#160
That's why i need your help to keep people informed about this.![]()

Every couple days, I check eBay for 20th GTIs, and check to see if they have the number listed, or in a picture. If the auction does show the number, I make sure to "spot" it on the Registry.

Nameci - Thanks. But if you see a 20AE on the road or parking lot, and the number is not in the registry, then just submit it as spotted, and use the state on the license plate!KC Jazz - Hopefully there aren't many of our 20AE cars getting sold that way. I know that when i someday sell my 20AE (years from now), i expect to get top $$. I'm not selling this car for peanuts!

took delivery 1 OctoberBTW, when I registered 3186 on the site, there was no area for Germany, so the vehicle was registered in Alaska.

Instead of Alaska, you should use your home state. Send me an IK if you want and we can work it out.![]()
