Hey guys, left school Tuesday night and was going up Northland...stopped at the light in front of Festival foods....took off in first, went to shift to 2nd and my clutch pedal laid on the floor....long story short, had to get a tow home....thank you AAA!

Plan on looking at it this weekend, may start ripping the trans out if I need to....anything to look for? I'm afraid the thrust plate may have taken a crap....whatever it is the pushrod can go through when it fails...seems to be a popular problem....as far as I know, it's the original clutch...I'm hoping it's something easy and simple, but the way this week has been going, it won't be easy and simple. I know for certain it's not the cable.

If I have to pull the tranny, who makes a good clutch to put in? Ya, it's only a 2.0, but I want it to last...I plan on running this car till the wheels fall off.

    any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Good points about the corrado... I was hoping I could find a used block for a couple hondo and just drop it in there to get it on the road... but I've been so dang busy, I've barely even looked at the rado. I should buy an engine stand, borrow a hoist and get the engine out so that I figure out what it needs.

No, they just took the titles. He's ran the grey one at road america since.

AFAIK, they'll never be legal...similar to the Porsche 959's imported by Gates and Sienfeld.

hey collin, where is my icm? i might need it soon as the work might slowly begin on the rabbit again. what now that my hands are free from cast purgatory.

edit, i got recalled to my former position. so i'll be making more money again sometime soon. then i'll get to bid out of in a month are 2 if something better/more pay gets posted. then it's cost of living raise in oct, and another almost $3 raise in dec for my one year. i know alot can happen from now till then. but i'm looking forward cash flow.

Had a great day at the track.

Met up with a couple good friends that I don't get to see out there enough who have as much of a love of the track as I do. The crowd was insane. I've never seen that may people at Road America ever. Steve said it reminded him of the "hay days" in the 70's when CAN-AM was there but he agreed that he'd never seen that may people. The total attendance # will be interesting to see on Monday or Tuesday.

And...most importantly in a almost poetic fashion the TT turned 100K miles old today. I realized on the way home from the track yesterday that it was going to be close by the time I got back to the track for today...and even though I had to drive around the back roads of the track for about 10 miles this AM before actually entering the track...the TT changed over to 100k at the top of turn 3 at about 8PM tonight after all the races were done.

And here is a video of the event:

So were there any good crashes at RA when the NASCAR drivers were completely confused and disorientated by the concept of turning RIGHT during a race?

Wish I could have gone but a friend of mine had organized a big music festival thing up North and I wanted to see him since it had been awhile since we got together.

There was a pretty good pile up in turn 6 on one of the restarts. 5-6 cars all rear ended each other when the front couple braked hard. It took 30 min to clean up.

The problem is that there is absolutly no stucture behind the bumpers...it's just tin bodywork. They also do not have any tow hooks on the cars, so safety crews had to open the hood or trunk to access a frame rail to hook a tow line to.

If the NASCAR boys want to race road course more (and I'd like to see them do so,) one thing I think they need to do is add tow hooks. The cars are specially built for road course, they're not the same cars they run on the ovals...so I don't think adding tow hooks is too much to ask. It would have turned that 30 min into 10-15. Better for the race fans and the perception of the road courses.

I voluntarily watched Nascar for the first time ever, it was an amusing race to say the least.

I gotta get my catamaran on the dock, ASAP... we've finally had some decent sailing weather and my boat is on the trailer.

Like the scooby up there... not sure about the gold painted type a's on the rear of the racer though.

There is a guy in glendale parting out his g60... engine is up for grabs... so tempting.
