I fully endorse this. The first one looks pretty good.

I've heard some good things about brad fab, not sure if they're in the area or not though. They did my friends straight pipe on his MKVI; sounds obnoxious but looks clean

Guess I'll have to keep an eye on this thread and bring the POS MK2 out. Need to get an alignment real bad and figure out why the car won't take brand new ebrake cables for that year car.

All of the MK2 ebrake handle assemblies seem to be rivited to the tunnel with the cables going towards the front of the car. The fulcrum on this handle is at the rear of the assembly, and it is bolted to the car.

I'd say something sounds amiss. I think I'd need to lay eyes on it. Does it have a 5 lug swap or anything?

What year shell? I remember the handle of my 92 mk2 bolting in. I bent the **** out of it once (burnouts!) and replaced it and I would remember rivets.

Paul/Blair: I guess the cars I based that to were earlier ones.

It has a 5lug swap from a MK3, at least thats what the PO told me two years ago.

I'll have to bring it to you one weekend or something. Just let me know....its one of the major things I want fixed, since its a safety thing

You only need brakes for burnouts and emergencies. You hold the car in place with the transmission.

Hows your second gear holding out? I just noticed that you have the same bike as mine. I am hoping the motor that I bought has a rebuilt second gear or I'm screwed.

It was a fear I had when buying but it felt good; it's got almost 19k but clutch is strong and second gear is a breeze to get into. This is my first bike so it's going to take some time to get use to.

I think the throttle needs some adjustments cause there's a good bit of play before the power comes on, carbs were just cleaned and jetted a year ago. This could just be the way the bike is but I didn't ride much before this so I have no idea
